The Photographic Project
In Short
The "Photographic Project" mentorship program is a six-month workshop. Each month, we will meet in Arles or elsewhere for at least one day, in person if possible, or via video conference if necessary. In addition to this monthly meeting, there is the option to supplement the program with text messages, phone calls, or Zoom calls as needed.
The total cost is €600. Dates are, of course, flexible and can be arranged to suit your needs.
This is a personalized, one-on-one mentorship program, tailored specifically to you. Beginners are, of course, very welcome.
Programme
If you've ever noticed that buying a more expensive camera doesn't necessarily make for better images, and that five good images are worth more than five hundred bad ones, then you're ready!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS WORKSHOP
You will have brought order to your images and your ideas, moving beyond haphazard, unstructured work. You will have acquired the ability to successfully complete a genuine artistic project.
You will understand what defines the appeal and unique character of your images, and you will be able to articulate what you are looking for.
DETAILED PROGRAM
The program is entirely personalized, tailored to your specific needs.
Of course, within this framework, we can also cover general concepts when they are relevant to you, for example:
- portfolio reviews
- photo shoots
- introduction to image retouching
- introduction to video editing
- basic history of photography
- portfolio design
- exhibition design and setup
SCHEDULE
A six-month workshop:
- Each month we will meet for a day: critique and selection of your images, discussion, including challenging the difficult aspects…
- We will meet in person if possible, or otherwise via video conference, at least one day each month.
In between, we can supplement our sessions by email, phone, twenty-minute Zoom calls, etc., as often as needed.
At the end of the six months, we will decide together on either an exhibition, a book mock-up, a video… or to continue for another six months. - At the end of the six or twelve months, we can also consider the possibility of an exhibition in Arles, at the "Le Lac Gelé" gallery that I manage.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Beginners are welcome; what matters is your passion for photography.
