Richard Petit, a specialist in landscape and travel photography, is offering a two-day workshop: Landscape and the Photographic Project.

How can you evolve your practice, moving from holiday photographs to pictures that deserve to be exhibited? Can a landscape image evoke emotion in the viewer? Through shooting exercises, collective critical discussion of the images produced, and slideshows on the history of photography, you will acquire essential technical skills.

But above all, together, you will discover that the supposed academic rules of image composition and depth of field are in fact linked to the message one wants to convey, and you will begin to develop a method for producing a coherent series of images—an essential step in developing an artistic project.

Please bring a digital camera with an SD card, a notebook, and your own images, either printed or digital. Richard Petit will help you create a professional-looking portfolio.
